According to a survey of internet users conducted between February and March of 2023, 81 percent of respondents in the United Kingdom reported noticing more targeted ads on their smartphones after talking about a topic or product. Around eight in 10 respondents based in Australia and in the United States reported noticing tracking mostly on their smartphones and receiving targeted ads after talking about a specific product or service.
