¹ The study was based on a database of approximately 70,000 participants aged 18 years and older in the following seven markets: Australia, Canada, France, Japan, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
The analysis included data for the previous 12 months and looked at travel behavior in the 45 days leading up to a trip booking.

According to an April 2023 survey, online travel agencies (OTAs) were the main resources used by global travelers before purchasing a trip, followed by search engines and social media. While ** percent of respondents checked OTAs before completing a trip booking, ** percent reported using social media.
