The sector employing the largest number of people was the services sector for most of the presented regions in 2025. Only in Southern Asia as well as Sub-Saharan Africa was the agriculture sector the main employer. In 2025, *** million people in Southern Asia and nearly ***Â million in Sub-Saharan Africa worked in the agriculture sector.
