Additionally, 25 percent believed the U.S. was victorious, and 22 percent believed Iran had the upper hand. Furthermore, U.S. public opinion was split on the success of military operations in Iran and skeptical on whether it served American strategic interests.
The joint U.S.-Israel war with Iran started on February 28, 2026. On June 17, the U.S. and Iran signed an MOU to end the hostilities.
