Since the start of the pandemic, declines in the share of active transportation (walking and biking) in total trips (walking, biking, and vehicle trips) have been observed in the United States. As of 2022, the New York metropolitan (metro) area had the lead with ** percent of total trips being active. In St Louis, Atlanta, Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston active mobility only accounted for percent of trips.
