The value of assets under management (AUM) allocated to sustainable funds grew globally from 2010 to 2024. This growth was mainly driven by developed markets. In 2010, the total AUM allocated to sustainable funds was *** billion U.S. dollars and Europe accounted for *** billion U.S. dollars of this total. Through to 2024, Europe continued to be the primary source of allocated AUM to sustainable funds, followed by the United States, which was the second-largest inflow to the market. While the rest of the world and China had not invested in sustainable funds to the same level as the United States and Europe, growth in AUM allocation was notable, as allocation increased from ** billion U.S. dollars in 2016 to *** billion in 2024.
