The percentage of people that usually work from home in the European Union jumped to **** percent in 2020, compared with *** percent in 2019. This sudden increase in homeworking occurred due to social distancing measures introduced by European governments in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. After the pandemic, the percentage of people who sometimes worked from home has continued to increase, reaching **** percent in 2025.
