Globally, most respondents state that public cloud hosting providers manage their companies' public cloud security. Cloud asset management (CAM) is a component of cloud management services and focuses on the management of a company's cloud environment. In other words, CAM manages the compliance, maintenance, and disposal of cloud assets. While the migration to public clouds benefits businesses as this process generates improved customer experiences, for example, it also has downsides in that multiple cloud computing environments each have their own security requirements, policies, as well as tools. This causes both gaps and misunderstandings in the assumed security coverage and the actual security capabilities of the cloud.
