In 2024, the gross value added of agriculture in Germany amounted to around 31.9 billion euros, according to preliminary figures. This shows a slight increase compared to the year before, when the gross value added totaled at 30.5 billion euros. Gross value added is calculated as the total value of goods and services produced in the production process minus the value of goods consumed in production at cost price (e.g. raw materials, intermediate products, merchandise, repair services, etc.)
