The volume of pears produced annually in France generally decreased since the beginning of the twenty-first century. In 2005, France produced 230 thousand tons of pears, while in 2021 the production volume was estimated to amount to 58,000 tons, a year later that number increased significantly and amounted to 137,000 tons.
