In the last month before ceasing operations in the country, Twitch record 36 million hours of content watched. The platform's main competitor in the region was AfreecaTV, with almost 100 million hours of live-streamed content watched. Live-streaming platform Chzzk was launched by Naver at the end of 2023, right after Twitch's decision to abandon the country. The platform reported approximately 50 million hours of watched content in the examined month.
