Solar PV developers are making the greatest strides toward meeting 2030 NZE scenario targets. Considering all projects announced as of 2023, solar PV capacity could exceed the NZE target by ** percentage points. Meanwhile, wind farm developers have been hampered by higher interest rates, with a significant gap identified between project size and necessary deployment. However, the share of already operational projects was roughly equal for solar and wind, at slightly less than ****.
