In 2023, Chile had a total renewable capacity of 20.6 gigawatts. By 2030, the Latin American country plans to increase this figure to roughly 38 gigawatts, doubling the operational capacity in 2023. Wind is expected to be the leading renewable energy source by that year, reaching an installed capacity of at least 15 gigawatts in 2030.
