Covestro's Performance Materials segment revenue in 2024 amounted to around seven billion euros, an increase when compared to the previous year. That amount also corresponded to a 49 percent share of the company's total annual revenue that year. 

Covestro is a Bayer spinout that was formed in autumn 2015. It was formerly the materials science division of Bayer, known as Bayer MaterialScience. The company is mainly involved in the production of high-tech ­polymers.
