The European questionnaire on Information and Communication Technologies Data reveals that there exists a disparity between the internet usage of people according to gender. This disparity although present in most countries, differs widely in its severity.
By 2020, 71 percent of male as well as 71 percent of female internet users in Latvia used the internet to inform themselves about goods and services. Since 2010, 13 percent more men and 16 percent more women replied that they searched the internet for information about goods and services.
