Libya scored 17 points in the corruption perception index in 2021. The country's score remained low from 2012 onwards, meaning that its public sector was deemed particularly corrupt. According to the index, countries and regions are assigned a score between zero (absence of corruption) and 100 (highest perceived corruption). Libya ranks among the most corrupt countries in the world.
