Each year during the NBA Finals, the Most Valuable Player Award is given to the player who had the biggest impact on the championship according to a panel of * media members. Michael Jordan won the MVP award a record *** times with the Chicago Bulls between 1991 and 1998. In 2020, LeBron James became the first player to win the award with different franchises. He won the trophy with Miami Heat, once with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and most recently with the Los Angeles Lakers. The most recent winner was Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks, who helped end the Knicks' 53-year wait for a third NBA championship title.
