The United States' production of plastic products is expected to decrease by 10.2 percent in 2020. In 2021, plastic products production is expected to increase by 8.3 percent, thus leaving production 1.9 percent lower than 2019 production levels. U.S. plastic resin production, on the other hand, is expected to recover in 2021 by the same amount that production is expected to decrease in 2020.
