A survey held in the United States in July 2020 found that Netflix users are more likely to share their subscription to the service with others outside their household, with ** percent reporting that they did so, compared to just twenty percent of Amazon Prime Video subscribers. Account sharing increased across all three platforms between 2019 and 2020, but whilst Netflix and Hulu saw only to **** percent more users admitting to account sharing, the share of respondents who shared their Amazon Video account with others doubled in the same time period.
